Airports

Fort Lauderdale (FLL) — roughly 25 miles south, 30 to 45 minutes by car. The best balance of price and proximity, and the airport most locals use.

Palm Beach International (PBI) — roughly 27 miles north, about 35 minutes. Smaller, calmer and quicker to clear, with fewer routes.

Miami (MIA) — roughly 50 miles south, 60 to 90 minutes depending on traffic. Worth it only for international connections or a much cheaper fare.

Brightline

Brightline's higher-speed rail runs the east coast with a station in downtown Boca Raton, connecting to Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, West Palm Beach, Miami and Orlando. It is the one genuinely good car-free option here, and the Boca station is walking distance from Mizner Park.

Driving in

I-95 is the fast north-south route and Florida's Turnpike runs parallel further west. Avoid I-95 between 4pm and 6:30pm on weekdays. Federal Highway (US-1) and A1A are the slower, prettier alternatives.
